In its second weekend, KGF Chapter 2 has gone into monster mode once more. Following a solid Friday of Rs 11.50 crore, the picture saw a 65 percent increase on Saturday, with early estimates indicating collections in the neighborhood of Rs 18.00 crore. The 10-day total of this Yash-starrer mafia thriller is Rs 292.85 crore, and the film is quickly approaching the famous Rs 300 crore club.
The Prashanth Neel-directed film will cross the three hundred crore barrier on Sunday and will end its 11-day run in the vicinity of Rs 313 crore. The film has already become the biggest grossing film in the Hindi belts since the outbreak of the pandemic and is on track to overtake Dangal's lifetime revenues (Rs 375 crore) to become the second best-grossing film of all time in the Hindi markets (Rs 511 crore). It would be impossible for any Hindi releases this year to compete with KGF 2.
The gangster thriller had slowed a bit on weekdays, prompting speculation that it might fall short of Dangal, but the second weekend trend has maintained it in the battle to surpass the benchmark. The film will easily cross the Rs 20 crore mark on Sunday and is expected to earn an additional Rs 330 crore by the end of the second week. Despite the competition, the third week of KGF 2 is projected to be robust as a huge portion of the audience base in the masses, who were unable to view a feature picture on the big screen due to Ramzan, would be going to the cinema halls for this larger-than-life drama.

KGF 2's business will witness a significant increase throughout the prolonged Eid Holiday season, particularly in the mass belts, and it will prove to be a viable challenger to Heropanti 2 in terms of occupancy. Yash has made his debut in the 300-crore club with the film, joining the likes of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Ranbir Kapoor, to mention a few.
